This hotel is an odd duck. It's a great location if you want to be close to Venice Beach, but the elevators and lobby are pretty shabby, and my room had stains on the carpet (one in the shape of an iron) and the heater /
AC unit did not work in my room. They sent a guy up 2 times to turn the heat on, and when that failed they left me a scary looking space heater that I did not want to leave turned on as I slept. The Wi-Fi service was terrible, often not working at all, and when it did work it was very slow. It seems that with some work, this could be a much better place to stay. The hotel seemed very empty, and their regular room rates are not in line with the quality of the the rooms. There may be management problems with this hotel, it's huge and in a desirable location, but it seems kind of tragic and run down, in a vague kind of way.
And the family next to me must have been suffering from jet lag, because they were wide awake at 3 AM, probably still on Barcelona time. Of course this kept me from sleeping well. Bottom line is that this hotel has potential, but is probably not going to please travelers looking for dependable internet service, and basic features like being able to heat or cool your room. ...read more

Basic hotel in location that is fine if you accept that the Marina is off the beaten track. Parking was included.
