The shower head was excellent, and the beds were comfortable.
The WiFi.

This hotel is an odd duck. It's a great location if you want to be close to Venice Beach, but the elevators and lobby are pretty shabby, and my room had stains on the carpet (one in the shape of an iron) and the heater /
AC unit did not work in my room. They sent a guy up 2 times to turn the heat on, and when that failed they left me a scary looking space heater that I did not want to leave turned on as I slept. The Wi-Fi service was terrible, often not working at all, and when it did work it was very slow. It seems that with some work, this could be a much better place to stay. The hotel seemed very empty, and their regular room rates are not in line with the quality of the the rooms. There may be management problems with this hotel, it's huge and in a desirable location, but it seems kind of tragic and run down, in a vague kind of way.
And the family next to me must have been suffering from jet lag, because they were wide awake at 3 AM, probably still on Barcelona time. Of course this kept me from sleeping well. Bottom line is that this hotel has potential, but is probably not going to please travelers looking for dependable internet service, and basic features like being able to heat or cool your room.

It was affordable and easy to find.
The bathroom wasn't as tidy as I was expecting it to be.

This hotel is for people who are on a budget but would like to stay in an affordable and yet comfortable hotel room.

Close to the beach and in a safe, nice neighborhood.
Older hotel located a little remotely from LA.

The heat is controlled by the front desk if that tells you anything about this place. So we go to sleep and wake up around 1am and the room is 77 degrees a sauna! I call the front desk to find out everyone is gone for the night! What a dive! ...read more

The location and the
the staff.
The carpets where dirty and the TV's where too small.

Its an older hotel with a great staff,
I see they are making improvements. Keep it going.

Basic hotel in location that is fine if you accept that the Marina is off the beaten track. Parking was included.
